Stay Alive

Your Life Matters. You Are Needed. You Belong.

#StayAlive is a mental health and suicide prevention initiative by Afro Tribes Canada.

Launched with support from the Government of Saskatchewan through the Saskatchewan Suicide Prevention Grant, this campaign is dedicated to breaking the silence around mental health and reminding every person that their life has value.

Through storytelling, community conversations, and public awareness, #StayAlive encourages people to reach out, ask for help, and check in with one another by asking one powerful question:

How are you really doing?

Sometimes, that simple question can start a life-changing conversation.

Our Message

Why This Campaign Matters

Mental health struggles can affect anyone.

Youth. Students. Parents. Newcomers. Men. Seniors. Working professionals.

Many people carry emotional pain in silence. #StayAlive exists to reduce stigma, inspire hope, and remind people that they do not have to face life's challenges alone.

Who We Support

#StayAlive is for everyone, with a special focus on:

  • Youth and students
  • Men and fathers
  • Newcomers and immigrant families
  • Seniors and elders
  • Working professionals experiencing burnout
  • Anyone feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or emotionally exhausted

How You Can Help

You can be part of this movement.

  • Ask someone, "How are you really doing?"
  • Listen without judgment.
  • Share the #StayAlive message.
  • Encourage people to seek support.
  • Reach out if you are struggling.

One conversation can make a difference.
One caring question can save a life.
